Republican Party of Armenia drops rally plans

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov issued a statement on the earlier planned event in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

“As a committed political force, we will never take measures aimed at escalation of tensions in the country. Unwilling to get involved in anti-constitutional ventures, RPA drops the rally plans. We are certain that we will soon celebrate the victory of liberty and democracy, recorded during 2013 presidential polls,” Mr Sharmazanov said.

It’s noteworthy, that it’s the third day supporters of Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian are holding a rally in Liberty Square.
