Armenian Nature Protection Minister departs for Germany![]() February 25, 2013 - 12:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On Feb 25, Armenian Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan departed for Germany on a 4-day visit. Minister Harutyunyan will meet with Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety Peter Altmaier as part of the visit, with a cooperation agreement to be signed on Feb 26. Discussion on bilateral relations, exchange of experience, particularly cooperation with Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), InWENT organization and collaboration in the framework of the expansion of special protection areas (Lake Arpi national park) will be in the focus of the meeting. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
