A young woman (Shameless and True Blood’s Emma Greenwell) enlists an ex-Marine (True Blood and Justified’s Brendan McCarthy) to infiltrate an Appalachian snake-handling church in search of her sister in Holy Ghost People, premiering at SXSW. Director Mitchell Altieri branches out on his own after co-directing several horror features with Phil Flores under the moniker The Butcher Brothers (The Hamiltons, April Fool’s Day, The Violent Kind).
