Envoy calls for response to Baku’s anti-Armenian policy

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Permanent Representative to the UN Karen Nazarian participated in the annual meeting of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) in San Francisco. The envoy deemed his presence symbolic given the UN Charter signed in the city.

“21 years ago Armenia became a full-fledged member of the UN. It continues to contribute to the promotion and protection of the international peace and security, democratic values, rule of law and human rights,” Nazarian said.

He further hailed Yerevan’s efforts aimed at prevention of genocides, calling attention to the international recognition of Armenian Genocide and Sumgait pogroms. The envoy stressed the need for international community to give relevant response to Baku’s anti-Armenian policy, RA MFA press service reported.
