Emergency Situations Ministry warns of possible warming, floods

PanARMENIAN.Net - Drastic weather change is expected in Armenia from March 15-17, with an 8-10 °C warming as compared to March 12.

The warming is prompted by hot weather currents coming from Africa's northern regions. Precipitations expected on March 18 will speed up the melting of snow. Rising of water level in rivers is possible, which may lead to floods in riverside regions.

As instructed by Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsyan, regional rescue departments were informed about the expected weather change and possible floods. Preventive measures are currently being undertaken.
