NA, OSCE Office in Yerevan sign cooperation memorandum

PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 15, Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with the head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Ambassador Andrey Sorokin.

Hovik Abrahamyan highly assessed the partnership between Armenian parliament and OSCE Office in Yerevan, noting that the latter’s activates are based on the OSCE principles, strengthening of security and stability, as well as press freedom, political and economic cooperation.

Parliament speaker cited memorandum of cooperation between RA parliament and OSCE Office in Yerevan as another proof of effective cooperation, enabling to boost the National Assembly’s capacities. He stressed the importance of the contribution of the OSCE Yerevan Office to implementation of legislative reforms, voicing confidence for its continuation.

Ambassador Sorokin also hailed the effective cooperation between OSCE and parliament, attaching importance to the cooperation agreement signed. He briefed the NA speaker on the future cooperation prospects.

Following the meeting, NA Chief of Staff Gurgen Dumanyan and Ambassador Sorokin signed a memorandum of cooperation.
