Artsakh President, Yerevan Mayor discuss cooperation![]() March 15, 2013 - 19:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 15, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan met delegation of the Yerevan city administration, headed by Mayor Taron Margaryan. Further deepening of relations between the two Armenian capitals, Yerevan and Stepanakert, were discussed during the meeting. President Sahakyan stressed the importance of multilateral cooperation with the Yerevan city considering it useful both for Stepanakert and for the whole Artsakh. The President hailed the preconditions for further widening and expanding the ties. Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude to the mayor of Yerevan for providing technical equipment to the Shoushi communal service and assisting the process of the town’s beautification. He gave high assessment to the initiative of Yerevan city administration to lay out a park of Freedom Fighter in the center of Stepanakert, considering its importance from both political and moral-psychological viewpoints. Vice Prime Minister Arthur Aghabekyan, mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan, chairman of the Artsakh Union of Freedom Fighters Samvel Karapetyan and other officials partook in the meeting, Central Information Department at the Artsakh President's Office reported. Partner news President Sahakyan stressed the combat readiness of Artsakh defense among key factors in the country’s security and state building. “The above mentioned NGOs’ participation in the forum is only possible as a part of Azerbaijani delegation,” ANP said. The military academy will be named after legendary commanders of Armenian origin Alexander Suvorov and Valerian Mandatov. French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Jacques Faure said the co-chairs are not planning a visit to Nagorno Karabakh. Partner news |
