Gosling reunites with Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance to play Luke, a motorcycle stunt rider who turns to robbing banks in order to support his ex (Eva Mendes) and their young son. The poster, released by Empire, shows Gosling and Mendes alongside Bradley Cooper. An encounter between Luke and ambitious young cop Avery (Cooper) has repercussions for both men's families for years to come. The story spans more than 20 years, and encompasses both the 1980s-set story between Gosling and Cooper and the story of their adult sons (Dane DeHaan and Emory Cohen). Ray Liotta, Bruce Greenwood, Rose Byrne and Ben Mendelsohn are among the film's supporting cast. The Place Beyond the Pines is released on March 29 in the US, and April 12 in the UK.
