Armenia posts 30,4% export growth in Jan-Feb 2013

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $464.7 mln (AMD 189.1 bln) in February 2013 increasing by 7,8% compared to the same period in 2012, according to updated statistical data.

Export amounted to $129 mln (AMD 52,5 bln) in February 2013, increasing by 14,8 %. The index totaled $241.3 mln in Jan-Feb 2013 (AMD 98,2 bln), with 30,4% growth reported. 5,4% growth was recorded in import bringing it to $335.7 mln (AMD 136,6 bln), the RA National Statistical Service reported.

The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $404,6 mln (AMD 164,4 bln) in January-February 2013, as compared with the same period in 2012.
