NATO Assistant Secretary General hails cooperation with Armenia![]() April 8, 2013 - 17:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met on April 8 with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, Ambassador Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, currently in Yerevan to attend Sargsyan inauguration ceremony, due April 9. Armenia-NATO cooperation was in the focus of the discussion, with President Sargsyan noting public diplomacy as an important field in bilateral relations. Ambassador Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, in turn, conveyed NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s greetings to President Sargsyan, expressing gratitude for Armenia’s involvement in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo. She further highly assessed NATO-Armenia cooperation in the framework of Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP). Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
