Armenia posts decrease in business activity index

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s business activity index dropped 0,8 in Q1, 2013 as compared to last quarter to total 59,8,%.

The highest activity index, 62,6% (5,7% growth) was posted in the industrial sector; 57,6% activity was reported in construction sector, with the remaining sectors showing a decreasing tendency.

Business environment sector posted a 55,5% index in Q1, 2013, increasing by 5,7% against the last quarter. The highest activity index, 63,3% was reported in the services sector.

The consumer confidence index dropped by 1,6% to total 44%, the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) press service reported.
