Deputy FM slams Azeri attempts to distort reality behind Karabakh conflictMay 21, 2013 - 18:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Azeri leadership’s repeated statements on unacceptability of a status quo in Nagorno Karabakh conflict actually aim to prevent alteration of the status, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia said. “Had Azerbaijan been willing for the status quo to change, the country would have agreed to the suggestions of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, instead of sabotaging settlement talks,” Shavarsh Kocharyan said. The Armenian official noted recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic as the only way to achieve a change in the status quo. He further slammed Azeri attempts to distort the reality behind the conflict and peace talks as well as Baku’s military aggression, promotion of racism and national hatred.
