Armenian citizens protest against gas price rise

PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of citizens have rallied outside the parliament building in protest of the hike in gas prices. Most of them consider the ongoing meeting in the National Assembly as illegitimate due to the absence of the consumers.

Executive director of Public Advocacy Union Aram Grigoryan urged for a public discussion.

“This is not the only illegality. Public Services Regulatory Commission is unauthorized to name figures. Meanwhile, the commission must settle the relations between the consumers and companies. The fact is that it doesn’t fulfill its function today. We will urge for the resignation of the commission,” Mr. Grigoryan said.
