Armenian-French decentralized cooperation conference due in fall![]() May 24, 2013 - 20:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan met on May 24 with French ambassador Henri Reynaud. Organization of Armenian-French decentralized cooperation conference was in the focus of the discussion. The conference, due in fall, will target ways to deepen decentralized cooperation between the two countries. Deputy Prime Minister noted that Armenia attaches special importance to development of decentralized cooperation with France, with an agreement reached to set up a working group on the organization of the conference. He further briefed Ambassador Reynaud on the reform implemented over the past years in local government organizing and territorial administration systems. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
