FM hopes for resumption of Millennium Challenge Corporation program

PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited the U.S. Congress to meet with the members of the U.S. Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues.

The official thanked the Caucus members for their role in the expansion of Armenia-U.S. ties, further briefing them about Yerevan’s stance on the peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict.

The Foreign Minister also met with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) CEO Daniel Yohannes to discuss resumption of the MCC program in Armenia.

The Armenian official also delivered an address focusing on Armenia’s foreign policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

Meetings with the representatives of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) and the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) were also on Nalbandian’s agenda.

Nalbandian’s Washington visit was followed by a travel to Vienna where he is due to deliver a speech in his capacity of the CoE Council of Ministers chair on June 6.
