 Egypt to recognize Armenian Genocide August 19, 2013 - 13:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Egypt’s interim leader pledged to recognize the Armenian Genocide in response to statements by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemning "the coup" in Egypt and announcing Islamist Mohammed Morsi a legitimate President. “The document will be formally submitted to the UN on Monday, August 19,” Adly Mansour said in his Twitter post, according to Nouvelles d'Arménie. “Our representatives in the UN will sign an international document recognizing the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey which led to the deaths of millions,” the Coptic leader said.
