Armenian Prelacy of Canada head meets Lebanese envoy

PanARMENIAN.Net - His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada’s Armenian Religious Education Council (AREC), received Her Excellency Mrs. Micheline Abi-Samra, ambassadress of Lebanon to Canada and Consul General of Lebanon Mr. Fadi Ziadeh on Wednesday, Sep 11.

Krikor Kouyoumdjian, Prelacy Executive Council member and Viken Tufenkjian, an executive member of the Armenian National Committee of Canada also attended the meeting.

The parties discussed issues related to Armenian-Lebanese descents and all possible cooperation within the community.

Mrs. Micheline Abi-Samra has been the Ambassadress of Lebanon to the Republic of Bulgaria; Coordinator of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership; Director a.i. of the Center for Legal Affairs Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Beirut; Counselor-DCM at the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the UN – Geneva; Counselor, Deputy Chief of Mission- Embassy of Lebanon – London; Consul General of Lebanon - Los Angeles, California; Press Counselor at Presidential Palace and Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Lebanon; Political Counselor for Congressional Affairs - First Secretary for Political, Economic and Cultural Affairs - Second Secretary For Consular Affairs - Embassy of Lebanon Washington DC; Attaché, Embassy of Lebanon – Vienna.

Her Excellency holds a degrees in Lebanese Law and French Law From “Saint Joseph University - Beirut” (Affiliated to the “Université de Lyon” – France) and a degree in ancient and modern philosophy from the “Ecole Supérieure des Lettres - Beirut” (Affiliated to the “Université de Lyon – France”).

Archbishop Hagopian and representatives at the meeting wished her a successful journey in Canada and the best in her endeavors in Canadian political life.
