Saints Vartanantz Church to celebrate consecration 35th anniversary![]() September 25, 2013 - 12:30 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Saints Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the consecration of the church in Chelmsford On Sunday, Oct 13, the Armenian Weekly reports. The celebratory event will be officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern). “The celebration of the 35th anniversary of the consecration of the church in Chelmsford is truly a blessing. It provides us with the opportunity to once again offer praise and glory to the Lord for blessing us with a house of worship,” says Reverend Father Khachatur Kesablyan, Pastor of Saints Vartanantz. The church will begin its celebration at 9 am with the Divine Liturgy. His Eminence Barsamian will preside, along with Rev. Father Kesablyan. Following the Divine Liturgy, the ordination of a sub-deacon and acolytes will be performed. Recipients of the honor will be sub deacon Jeremy Oldham and acolytes Gregory Chekmeyan, Benjamin Clark, Dominic Sampson, and David Arakelian. The activities, led by the 35th Consecration Anniversary chairwoman, Sandra Boroyan, and her committee, will continue in the Kazanjian Memorial Ballroom, with a Fellowship Reception at 1 p.m. and the Commemorative Banquet following at 1:30 pm. The Sunday afternoon event and program will include special guests Matt Hanson, chair of the Chelmsford Board of Selectmen, and James Kalustian, chair of the Diocesan Council. It will also feature the presentation of the Dioceses Saint Vartan Award by Archbishop Barsamian to lifetime parishioners Patricia Amboian of Andover and George Simonian of Chelmsford, in recognition of their prominent stewardship of the church and for their years of dedicated service. Entertainment will be provided by vocalist Victoria Avidessian and pianist Levon Hovsepian. “For the past 35 years Saints Vartanantz has attended to the spiritual needs of her flock by bringing the living word of the Lord to His faithful, nurturing their faith, and proclaiming His message of salvation. And this is what we celebrate today,” said Rev. Fr.
