“The Bridge” star Sandino Moreno to topline “Castro's Daughter”November 25, 2013 - 14:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Bridge's Catalina Sandino Moreno has been cast in the lead role in Castro's Daughter, Digital Spy said. Castro's Daughter will chronicle the life of the former Cuban president's exiled child Alina Fernandez, to be played by Sandino Moreno. Fernandez was born of a love affair between Castro and Cuban socialite Natalia 'Naty' Revuelta in the 1950s. The film will be directed by Crazy Kind of Love's Sarah Siegel-Magness. Oscar winner and Crash writer Bobby Moresco and Cuban playwright Nilo Cruz (Anna in the Tropics) have penned the script. Castro's Daughter is expected to be released in US cinemas on November 11, 2015. The film has yet to be given a UK release. Moreno is best known for playing Alma Ruiz in FX's The Bridge, and for her Oscar-nominated performance in Maria Full of Grace.
