Pope Francis may visit Armenia in 2015: French daily

PanARMENIAN.Net - Pope Francis may visit Armenia in 2015, Nouvelles d'Arménie said citing La Croix French Catholic daily.

Director of the Publications and Official Press Departments of the Holy Echmiadzin Archimandrite Shahe Ananyan said he was 90% positive that the Roman Pope will visit Echmiadzin to attend the ceremony of canonization of the Armenian Genocide victims.

“The visit, to repeat Pope John Paul II’s gesture in 2001, will be of great symbolic importance to stress Vatican’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
