Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell in Liv Ullmann's “Miss Julie” trailer (video) July 23, 2014 - 12:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sexual politics are at play in the first trailer for Liv Ullmann's “Miss Julie” an adaptation of August Strindberg's classic 19th century play, starring Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell, TheWrap reported. Chastain plays an upper class young woman who decides to rebel and go dancing at a servants’ midsummer party one night, becoming drawn to a servant (Farrell) and resulting in a quite dysfunctional relationship of perverse games and power struggles. Oh, and he's engaged to be married to a fellow servant (Samantha Morton). While the play takes place all in one room, it looks like Ullmann has taken advantage of the film medium to expand the action beyond the four walls of the servants’ kitchen a bit, TheWrap said. The film has no US distribution yet, but should be a hot title when it premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival as a Special Presentation. The 39th Toronto International Film Festival runs from September 4 to 14, 2014. Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
