VivaCell-MTS to sponsor Aram Khachaturian Int’l Fest webcast

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 2nd Aram Khachaturian International Festival and an unprecedented innovative project of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia were presented during a joint press conference hosted by SYOA Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Sergey Smbatyan and VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

The Festival will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture., with the grand opening scheduled for September 16, 7 p.m. at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The event, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Yerevan State University, is implemented under the patronage of the UK Embassy in Armenia and with the support of the British Council.

SYOA will be performing jointly with the world-renowned musician DJ Switch (United Kingdom) and Bagrat Terteryan, the head of the Armenian Association of Beatbox. The event will feature compositions by Gabriel Prokofiev and Miles Hancock.

Another initiative of the Youth Orchestra is becoming a reality through the support of its General Partner VivaCell-MTS: starting from September 16, classic music connoisseurs will be given an opportunity to follow all SYOA concerts online at the official websites of the Festival and the Orchestra (www.akhif.am & www.syoa.am)

The Festival will include a number of events: concerts, master-classes, screenings of films, with famous musicians and young talents from all over the world to perform beautiful pieces by Khachaturian, thus promoting the heritage of Armenia’s national treasure.
