J.K. Rowling reveals solution to her cryptic message

The prolific author tweeted a cryptic message Monday about a new project she is currently working on. The message read: "Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won't tolerate this nonsense."

Fans of The Boy Who Lived were quick to optimistically interpret this as a sign that the spellcasting lad was figuring into her plans, particularly given the word "wand." One reader who commented on The Hollywood Reporter's initial story about the hint even offered a possible solution to the anagram: "Harry returns! Wont say any details now! A week off! No comment." The boy wizard was last seen on the big screen in 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2.

Alas, Harry Potter was not the subject of the tweet. Rowling has revealed she was actually providing a tease about its spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is headed to theaters as a trilogy.

The solution to the anagram, which a follower tweeted at Rowling about 24 hours after the author posted the clue, is: "Newt Scamander only meant to stay in New York for a few hours ... " Newt is the main character of Fantastic Beasts, which takes place about 70 years before the events of the Potter series.
