Microsoft buys start-up AcompliDecember 2, 2014 - 12:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft has acquired start-up Acompli, which specialises in providing mobile email apps for iOS and Android, according to Digital Spy. The PC maker announced the deal after accidentally leaking details last week. The email client taps into Microsoft Exchange, making it capable of handling calendars, events and contacts. "This acquisition is part of our company-wide effort to help people accomplish more with their mobile devices," Microsoft said in a blog post. "We're excited about what's possible as we build on the app's success and bring it together with work currently in progress by the Outlook team." Microsoft has not disclosed the price it paid for Acompli and is yet to detail its exact plans, although it is likely that the service could be integrated with Office 365.
