Armenia's 1000 top taxpayers pay AMD 700B  into 2014 state budget

PanARMENIAN.Net - A total of AMD 700.5 billion was paid by Armenia’s 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in 2014, up 5.3% from a year earlier period, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) said.

According to SRC, AMD 430.56 billion were collected by tax authorities and AMD 269.9 million by customs authorities. Of that amount, about AMD 219.9 billion were direct taxes (income and profit taxes), and about AMD 398.6 billion were collected as indirect taxes (including VAT and excise tax). Also AMD 79 billion were collected as other taxes, duties and mandatory payments, according to SRC.

Gazprom Armenia natural gas distributor topped the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in 2014, paying AMD 42.8 billion in taxes, up AMD from 37.8 billion in 2013. Of that amount AMD, 42.3 billion were collected by tax authorities and about AMD 413.3 million by customs authorities.

About AMD 4.8 billion were collected as direct taxes and about AMD 37.5 billion as indirect taxes. Also about AMD 481 million were collected as other taxes, duties and mandatory payments.

Gazprom Armenia was followed by K-Telecom (VivaCell-MTS), which paid more than AMD 28.9 billion in various taxes, down from AMD 30.1 billion in 2013. Of that amount AMD 27.6 billion were collected by tax authorities and about AMD 1.3 billion by customs authorities.

Alex Grig company came third in the list, having paid more than AMD 21.57 billion, up from AMD 18.75 billion in 2013. Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine came in fourth with AMD 19.9 billion of paid taxes, down from AMD 37.8 billion that the largest mining company paid in 2013.

Armenia Telephone Company (ArmenTel) was fifth, having paid AMD 16.5 billion, up from AMD 15.47 billion in 2013.
