Acer's new Chromebook 15 boasts 11 hours battery life on single chargeApril 24, 2015 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Acer's has claimed the battery bragging rights with its Chromebook 15, a laptop that keeps on chugging for 11.5 hours on a single charge, Digital Spy reports. The Chromebook 15 CB3-531 doesn't have the kind of name that rolls off your tongue, but it makes up for that with a generous display size and affordable price tag. The laptop features a 15.6-inch TFT screen with a 1366x768 resolution, and a rather modest Intel dual-core Celeron N2830 chip. The Chromebook 15 CB3-531 also comes with 16GB of eMMC storage, with support for an additional 128GB via its SD card slot. The notebook PC was one of 40 new products unveiled by Acer at its press conference in New York on April 23, during which CEO Jason Chen pledged his undying support to the wavering PC market. "We will be the last man standing in the PC industry," he declared during an energetic keynote address. Among the new products were refreshed versions of the Chromebook 15 CB5-571 and C910 models, both with Intel Core Broadwell CPUs on board. Acer's new Chromebooks will be available in June.
