Android 5.1 coming to Sony Xperia devices in JulyJune 5, 2015 - 18:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Sony has announced that Google's Android 5.1 is coming to its Xperia range of mobile devices next month, Digital Spy reports. The incremental update is on its way to the Xperia Z line, as well as the Xperia C3, T2 Ultra, Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Aqua. Android 5.1 includes performance and stability improvements, along with new features such as high definition voice support and dual-SIM compatibility. Sony only recently brought Android 5.0 to devices including the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, and Xperia Tablet Z, but appears to be fast-tracking the next update. The software will be distributed over the air beginning in July, but as is always the case with these things, some users will receive it before others based on their location and network provider. Sony recently announced its new global flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3+, a device with only subtle improvements over its predecessor.
