Florence to replace Foo Fighters as headliner at Glastonbury FestJune 20, 2015 - 16:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Florence Welch is honoured to be stepping up as a headliner at Glastonbury Festival 2015, Digital Spy reports. The Eavis family announced that Florence + the Machine will headline on the Pyramid Stage on Friday 26 as a replacement for Foo Fighters. Foo Fighters had to cancel their headlining slot at the festival due to frontman Dave Grohl breaking his leg in an on-stage accident last week. Florence + the Machine were originally scheduled to play earlier in the night on Friday, but have since been elevated to the headlining slot. "I'm so sorry to hear that Dave Grohl has broken his leg," Welch said on June 17. "I met him when we were just starting out and he is honestly one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. "Having just experienced a broken foot I know how devastating it can be to break something on stage so I am sending him all my love. "Glastonbury have asked us to step in which is an incredible honour. We hope we will be able to give you just as good a Friday night as the Foos." Other acts scheduled to perform on the Pyramid Stage next Friday include Mary J Blige, Alabama Shakes, James Bay and Motorhead. Saturday's (June 27) Pyramid Stage headliner will be Kanye West, while The Who are scheduled to close the festival on Sunday (June 28).
