OnePlus 2 “boasts faster fingerprint scanner than iPhone”July 1, 2015 - 10:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - OnePlus is gradually revealing key features of its next smartphone ahead of the device's launch - and now we have confirmation of a fingerprint scanner, Digital Spy reports. The Chinese firm claims that its OnePlus 2 handset boasts a biometric security system that is markedly faster than the iPhone's Touch ID. OnePlus didn't delve into technical details, but confirmed that its fingerprint scanner can store up to five prints at a time. The company previously revealed that the OnePlus 2 will include a USB-C port, allowing it to charge faster and transfer data more quickly. The OnePlus One earned critical acclaim for combining cutting-edge specs with a budget price tag, although the hardware can no longer be considered top of the line. The OnePlus 2 is expected to take the same approach, offering a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM for around $415. It is set to be announced at an event on July 27.
