Co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, along with the cast, offered up details Friday at FX’s Television Critics Assn. press tour. Murphy said that the “Hotel” idea was inspired by a surveillance video from a Los Angeles-based hotel that surfaced two years ago. The footage showed a girl in an elevator who was never seen again. “It is called ‘Hotel,’ and it’s set in a hotel,” Murphy said, disclosing that the season will be set in downtown LA. “We deal with a lot of American horrors, [including] addiction.” Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
