Luke Bryan continues ruling Billboard 200 with "Kill the Lights" albumAugust 24, 2015 - 12:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Luke Bryan is still ruling Billboard 200 with his "Kill the Lights". The album, which last week debuted atop the list with 345,000 equivalent units, remains at No. 1 with another 99,000 in the week ending on August 20, AceShowbiz reports citing Nielsen Music. Bryan's latest effort is the first country set in two years to score a second week at No. 1. The last to have spent more than one week at the top slot was the country heartthrob's own "Crash My Party" (2013). Next on this week's Billboard 200, Ed Sheeran's "X" is sitting at No. 2 with 97,000 units. The album rises from last week's No. 6 following the broadcast of the British singer's NBC TV concert special "Ed Sheeran - Live at Wembley Stadium" as well as the discount in the Google Play store. Meanwhile, Dr. Dre's "Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre" drops one slot to No. 3 with 51,000 units in its second week. Following closely at No. 4 is "Straight Outta Compton" which also features Dre, this time as a member of N.W.A. Thanks in large part to the hip-hop group's biopic of the same title that opened in U.S. theaters last week, the project soars from No. 30 with 44,000 units. The "Now 55" album closes out the top 5, descending from last week's No. 3 with additional 40,000 units. Former "The Voice" contestant Melanie Martinez arrives at No. 6 as has her debut full-length "Cry Baby" starts with 40,000. Taylor Swift's "1989" bows at No. 7 with another 32,000. Bullet for My Valentine becomes the last newcomer in the top 10 of Billboard 200. The rock band's "Venom" opens at No. 8 with 28,000 that include 26,000 in pure album sales. The No. 9 and No. 10 spots for this week belong to Future's "DS2" and Sam Hunt's "Montevallo" which both sell around 28,000 units.
