Shelters being built in Armenian border villages: MP

PanARMENIAN.Net - Shelters are being built in Armenian border villages that will serve as hideouts for people in case of a possible missile attack, a spokesperson for Prosperous Armenia party said.

“People are determined and do not panic,” Vahan Babayan told reporters Monday, September 7.

He added that the issue of providing men with weapons was also discussed with the residents. A discussion will reportedly be held at the National Assembly in the near future to allow men to carry weapons to defend themselves.

Meanwhile, chief of Koti community Feliks Melikyan noted that the situation was relatively quiet on the night of September 7. He also said that the condition of the two Koti residents who had been injured a few days ago, was satisfactory, but the wounded were still hospitalized.

Chief of Berkaber community in Tavush province confirmed that the night was relatively quiet.
