PanARMENIAN.Net - In the first trailer for “Demolition,” Jake Gyllenhaal pens multiple letters to a vending machine company in which he reveals his entire life story as an attempt to demolish his former life, TheWrap reports.

“Demolition” follows Davis Mitchell (Gyllenhaal), a successful investment banker, who’s struggling after losing his wife in a tragic car crash. Despite pressure from his father-in-law Phil (Chris Cooper) to pull it together, Davis continues to unravel.

He writes a complaint letter to a vending machine company, which turns into a series of letters revealing startling personal admissions.

Davis’ letters catches the attention of customer service rep Karen (Naomi Watts) who’s dealing with emotional and financial burdens of her own, and the two form an unlikely connection.

Davis starts to rebuild and attempts to demolish the former life he had come to know.

The film stars Gyllenhaal, Watts, Cooper, Heather Lind, Wass Stevens and Polly Draper. It is directed by Jean-Marc Vallee. The dramedy is set to debut Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival and will hit theaters on April 8, 2016. Fox Searchlight Pictures will distribute.
