Deputy Defense Minister, OSCE MG Co-chair discuss Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan met on Friday, October 9 with OSCE Minsk Group French Co-chair, Ambassador Pierre Andrieu, Tert.am reports.

According to the Defense Ministry, the parties discussed the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Nagorno Karabakh contact line. Tonoyan briefed the ambassador on the frontline escalation and last week's ceasefire violations.

Stressing the unacceptability of further escalation and the importance of demonstrating constructive approach to the Nagorno Karabakh peace talks, the sides exchanged opinions on confidence-building measures and ceasefire maintenance mechanisms.
