Facebook app now supports 3D TouchOctober 13, 2015 - 19:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of 3D Touch-compatible apps is growing, with Facebook the latest to support the pressure-sensitive capabilities of Apple's new smartphone display. Giving iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus owners easy access to the social platform's key features, the revamped app lets users jump straight into posting a new status direct from the smartphone's homescreen. The 3D Touch party piece isn't limited to simple text-based updates, either. Facebook now also offers shortcuts to let you take and upload photos and videos. Once updated, activating the new 3D-friendly shortcuts simply requires a firm press on the Facebook app icon from the home screen. This launches a simple, pop-up menu offering direct shortcuts to your most used Facebook features. The Facebook update brings the social giant in line with the likes of Twitter and Instagram who have already adopted 3D Touch features of their own.
