Armenia hails Duma draft bill banning Genocide denial: vise-speaker

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan welcomes inclusion of a draft law criminalizing the Genocide denial into Russian Duma’s agenda, the vice-speaker of the Armenian National Assembly said.

As Eduard Sharmazanov noted at a meeting with State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin on Friday, November 28, failure to condemn crimes of the past instigates new crimes, including terror attacks.

For his part, Naryshkin agreed that past crimes and atrocities should be condemned to avoid their recurrence.
