Their relatives said they haven't heard from them for a week. Trying to reach Germany, the woman, her son and daughter lost each other, with the latter managing to somehow find shelter in Turkey. Unable to find out anything about her family, the girl, however, heard about a drowned ship, with the majority of passengers having died on their way from Turkey to Greece. Her mother and brother’s deaths have not been confirmed though. More than 250,000 Syrians have been killed and a million injured. Some 11,5 million others have been forced from their homes, of whom four million have fled abroad - including growing numbers who are making the dangerous journey to Europe.
