According to the Karabakh Defense Ministry, in the reporting period Azerbaijani armed forces have fired 19000 shots from various caliber artillery weapons, 60-, 82- and 120-mm mortars, AGM-9, AGS-17 and RPG-7 grenade launchers, as well as ZU-23-2 Sergey anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon and TR-107 rocket launcher. Karabakh troops control the situation and retaliate in case of necessity. The Azerbaijani troops have initiated several subversive attacks in various directions of the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on the night of December 18. Identifying the Azerbaijani groups on time, Karabakh Defense Army units took retaliatory measures, throwing the saboteurs back to their positions. At least 2 Azeri soldiers were killed and others wounded as a result. Karabakh Army serviceman Fidar Aloyan, aged 19, was lethally wounded during retaliation.
