H1N1 swine flu death toll climbs to 14 in Armenia (Updated)![]() January 15, 2016 - 18:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - One more person has died of H1N1 swine flu virus in Armenia, the Ministry of Health said in a press release. According to the Ministry, the person had been diseased from January 1, but had sought medical assistance only on January 9. Two more people died from the virus earlier. Hospitalized in critical condition on January 13, both had been previously diagnosed with diabetes and cardio-pulmonary failure. According to the Ministry, 992 people with acute respiratory viruses have been hospitalized as of January 15, 873 of them under 18. 502 patients were diagnosed with pneumonia, 231 of them under 18. A total of 121 pregnant women have been hospitalized. 98 patients are registered in intensive care units, with 9 of them put on mechanical ventilation. 14 people have so far died from H1N1 swine flu virus in Armenia. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
