FilmNation to handle int’l sales on Berlinale doc “Zero Days”February 10, 2016 - 17:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - FilmNation Entertainment will handle international sales for Alex Gibney’s documentary “Zero Days”, which is unspooling in competition at the Berlin Film Festival, Variety reveals. The cyber warfare doc is produced by Gibney’s Jigsaw Prods. and Global Produce’s Marc Shmuger, and executive produced by Jeff Skoll and Diane Weyermann of Participant Media and Sarah Dowland. FilmNation will kick off international sales at the Berlinale; Submarine is handling domestic sales. The deal was negotiated by Participant’s executive VP, business and legal affairs, Gabriel Brakin and FilmNation CEO Glen Basner. Gibney’s credits include Academy Award winning “Taxi to the Dark Side” and “Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief.” Participant also has Morgan Neville’s “The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble” screening in the Berlinale Special Gala, along with the documentary series “Truth and Power” in EFM’s Drama Series Days, for which FilmBuff is handling international sales in the market.
