Karabakh’s troops continue controlling the situation on the contact line, retaliating in case of extreme necessity.

Azerbaijani armed forces fired around 700 shots from various caliber weapons in ceasefire violations on the night of February 9-10.

“The Armenian army is strong enough to restrain any aggression and develop necessary mechanisms to avert large-scale offensives,” Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan said on February 9.

“We are facing a number of challenges,” he said, addressing students and professors at the Yerevan State University. According to the official, the security sector is fragile enough to take any turn, but the Armed Forces of Armenia are able to maintain relative peace thanks to their combat readiness, the servicemen’s fighting spirit and high morale.
