In the World War II drama based on Ruta Sepetys' best-seller Between Shades of Gray, the Diary of a Teenage Girl actress plays Lina Vilkas, a 16-year-old who is forced to live in a Serbian work camp amid Stalin's reign of terror in the Baltic region. An aspiring artist, she attempts to use her art to send messages to her imprisoned father. Jonah Hauer-King and Martin Wallstrom also star in the drama. Marius Markevicius is directing the coming-of-age tale from a screenplay by Ben York Jones. The film is now in production in Lithuania, The Hollywood Reporter said.
