Adele's “25” reclaims top spot on Billboard 200

PanARMENIAN.Net - Adele's "25" has returned to No. 1 on Billboard 200. After letting Future's "EVOL" and Rihanna's "Anti" take the spot in the past two weeks, the Brit singer's latest album is now spending its ninth non-consecutive week atop the list with 151,000 equivalent album units, including 125,000 copies of pure album sales, earned in the week ending February 18, AceShowbiz reports citing Nielsen Music.

Adele's only one of a few acts on this week's Billboard 200 affected by the wins and/or performances at the 2016 Grammy Awards. During the February 15 event, the 27-year-old took the stage for the first live rendition of "All I Ask" though her set was plagued by technical glitches.

Justin Bieber, who played a medley of "Love Yourself" and "Where Are U Now" at the awards show, sees his "Purpose" album jumping three spots to No. 2 with 84,000 units. Behind him is Rihanna, whose "Anti" stays at No. 3 with 79,000.

The first newcomer in the top 10 is country duo Joey + Rory's "Hymns", which sits at No. 4 with 70,000, their best sales week yet. Closing out the top 5 is Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" that flies from No. 11 to No. 5 with 51,000 sold following its Best Country Album win at the Grammys.

At No. 6 is The Weeknd, whose "Beauty Behind the Madness" rises six rungs from last week's No. 12 with 51,000 after his performance of "Can't Feel My Face" and "In the Night" at Music's Biggest Night as well as his win in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category.

Twenty One Pilots' "Blurryface" trails behind at No. 7, going up from last week's No. 9, with 45,000. Taylor Swift's "1989" makes a return to the top 10 at No. 8 with 43,000, thanks in large part to the Best Pop Vocal Album and the prestigious Album of the Year Awards from the Grammys.

Other titles making up the top 10 are the "Now 57" album that drops from No. 7 to No. 9 with 40,000 and last week's first placer, Future's "EVOL", that plunges to No. 10 with 40,000.
