Twitch soon to start recording chat for archived videosFebruary 25, 2016 - 17:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Twitch has a new feature, dubbed Chat Replay, which brings the excitement of Twitch Chat to recorded videos, PC Magazine reports. Rolling out over the next few weeks, the feature lets you see all the chat action from the live broadcast when you watch a recorded stream or highlight. "Never again will you wonder which moments had the chat going wild or what messages your favorite broadcaster is responding to," Twitch wrote in a blog post. "With Chat Replay, you can fully immerse yourself in the Twitch viewing experience and relive the best moments from broadcasts exactly as they happened live." Twitch said it will begin capturing chat messages from live streams starting Wednesday, February 24, and gradually add this content to recorded videos. Chat Replay messages will show up right alongside videos, and you'll even be able to see Sub notifications, Emotes, and Badges exactly as they appeared in the live stream. Messages deleted due to user time-outs or bans during a live stream will not appear in Chat Replay. The interface also includes moderation capabilities, so anyone with permission to moderate a particular channel will be able to delete unwanted chat messages from recorded videos.
