"Taboo" gory trailer features Oscar-nommed Tom Hardy (video)

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tom Hardy heads to small screen on "Taboo" which will air on FX in the United States. Fresh off his Oscar-nominated performance in "The Revenant", the British actor once again plays a man who survives in the wilderness, AceShowbiz said.

Presumed dead, Hardy's James Keziah Delaney returns home after his father passed away and inherits his family business. Intent on rebuilding the company, Delaney creates some enemies when he refuses to sell his company. Aware of his enemies' cruel and violent ways to achieve their goals, Delaney shows no fear to their threat.

Set in 1814, "Taboo" is based on an original story by Tom Hardy and his father Chips Hardy, who also serves as consulting producer. It follows James Keziah Delaney, a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father's shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself.

But his father's legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Encircled by conspiracy, murder, and betrayal, a dark family mystery unfolds in a combustible tale of love and treachery.
