Ian McShane teases his crucial role on

PanARMENIAN.Net - No wonder that Ian McShane's role on "Game of Thrones" season 6 is being kept secret. Turns out the actor plays a character who has a crucial role in bringing back a character from the dead, thus confirming one of the rumbling speculations about a character's revival, AceShowbiz said.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" actor dished on details of his character during an appearance on BBC's "Breakfast". "My character is an ex-warrior who has become a peacenik," he said, adding, "So I have this group of peaceful, sort of like a cult, a peaceful tribe. I bring back a much loved character everybody thinks is dead."

McShane said in a previous interview, "I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you're never going to see again. I'll leave it at that."

It remains unclear though which character that McShane's alter ego will bring back from the dead. There have been rumors that Jon Snow who was stabbed at the end of season 5 will be back in season 6, and Catelyn Stark who was killed in season's 3 episode "The Rains of Castamere" may return as Lady Stoneheart.

In other news, a deleted scene from season 5 has landed online via EW. To be included in upcoming DVD and Blu-ray set of the fifth season, it highlights the internal power struggle among the Night's Watch, particularly related to how they couldn't agree on how to treat the migrating Wildling army.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres April 24 on HBO.
