Russian parliament speaker visits Armenian Genocide memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the Russian State Duma Sergey Naryshkin visited Friday, March 11 the Armenian Genocide memorial, Tsiternakaberd. Heads of parliamentary delegations of CSTO member states, Armenia’s Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, Russian ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin, as well as a dozen journalists accompanied the speaker, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute reports.

During his visit, Naryshkin laid a wreath at the Armenian Genocide memorial.

Afterwards, guests from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan laid flowers at the eternal flame, honoring the memory of the 1.5 million victims with a moment of silence.
