Also in the cast are Idris Elba and Simon Pegg (credited as one of the film’s many writers), Deadline reports. The film, which Deadline hears is undergoing some reshoots next week with Aghdashloo playing the role of the High Command of the Federation, is being directed by Justin Lin. J.J. Abrams is producing. However, the film is still on track to be released this summer, on July 22, from Paramount.
