Armenia electricity generation grows by 7% in two months of 2016

PanARMENIAN.Net - Electricity generation has grown by 7% in the first two months of 2016, Armenia’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources says.

According to the report, the nuclear power station, the thermal power and hydropower plants have all registered an upsurge in energy production.

In January-February, a total of 1.3 billion kilowatthours (kWh) of electricity has been produced in the country.

The nuclear power plant accounts for the greatest part of energy production in Armenia, having generated 459 million kilowatthours (kWh) of electricity in the reporting period.
