Azerbaijan fires over 3200 shots in ceasefire violations over weekend

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani forces violated the truce on March 27-28, firing over 3200 shots from various caliber firearms, the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army says.

On March 26, at around 7:30am, the rival used TR-107 rocket launchers to shell the Karabakh village of Taghavard, situated some 5 km deep behind the frontline. As a result, a civilian, 27-year-old Yervand Firyan was wounded while engaged in agricultural activities.

Karabakh troops took retaliatory measures, making the rival refrain from using large-caliber artillery weapons during the whole weekend.

The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army continues controlling the situation on the contac line and protecting their positions.
